“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33

Dear Saint Robert Community,

Welcome to October and our beautiful fall weather.  At the end of the week four of our student council members will take an active part in the Mission Childhood Association Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption.  We are honored to be represented.  Then on the weekend, the Cathedral will be dedicated to Mary at a very full day of festivities.  Everyone is invited.  In fact, two of our students, Kira Cory and Cassidy Ravelo will be honored as winners of the essay/art contest for this occasion.  Congratulations!    Please see the information below under SR News or visit the Archdiocesan Website.

Saint Robert’s Blessing of the Animals will also be this coming Saturday in the church parking lot at 11:00 am.  Be sure to bring your pet (s) for a very special blessing.  Our Kindergarteners and 1st Graders brought small stuffed animals for Father Tony to bless in class today.  Very special!

Halloween will be here before we know it.  When you are buying Halloween costumes this year,  please choose a costume that is Catholic school appropriate.  If  blood or weapons are involved, please keep them home and save them for night time trick or treating.  Thank you.

As you know, we are working to provide hot lunch at least three days a week.  We will keep you informed of the menu each week.

God Bless You and Your Family,
Mrs. Wright

Women’s Guild Schoola Donations: Last year we began work with Schoola.com to collect clothing and earn some money for the Women’s Guild at the same time. We all have donated clothes to the Good Will, but what if you can donate clothes and have Saint Robert Women’s Guild receive some of the profits to help pay for some of the school’s events.   Schoola.com is just that website and it is extremely simple. First, you go to their site (schoola.com) and request a bag. Next, you fill the bag with outgrown clothes (gently used) and drop it in the mail for free. Finally, when the clothes that you donated are purchased from others in the San Bruno community or around the country at dramatically discounted prices, Our Kids Win! 40% of proceeds come back to us. On their site, you can also print your own label and use your own packing material.  For more information Julie Cress (julie.s.cress@gmail.com). We hope that you request that bag today. We have already had over 53 bags sent in and $565 raised money for the school.

Festival Performance- Your child’s performance at the festival was recorded and available on DVD!  Please complete the DVD Festival form and send it in by Friday, October 6th. Thanks
